Wedge-tailed Eagle

Adult Wedge-tailed Eagle from Australia. Birds become darker with age, young eagles are a light mid-brown. Its long wedge tail is unique to this species. Habitat: in almost all though they tend to be common in lightly timbered and open country. Size 85-105 cm, wingspan 185 – 230 cm, though there are records of larger.
