During the winter time here in Newfoundland we are lucky to have a large number of diving ducks that populate our local ponds and lakes. When most of the ponds freeze it forces the divers into the remaining open water of Quidi Vidi Lake, which provides great up close photo ops. I took this shot on a beautiful calm day in Dec. I laid flat on my stomach to get the lowest POV possible.
This was shot with a Nikon D7100, nikon 200-400mmF4 + Tele1.4x
