On Tuesday, January 23rd, a rare bird alert reported a Snowy Owl in Odessa, Texas. This was an awesome opportunity to take the 5 and a half hour drive in hopes of getting to see my target bird since I started birdwatching in ’09. I arrived on the 25th, and while driving to the location that has been reported on the other side of the highway, I spotted it on a utility pole, where it had also been reported at this location the day before.
