St. George, Utah. Dec. 8, 2013. The day after the 8″ snowfall. Second highest one-day amount in 100 years. It started out at 1 deg. above zero that morning. By mid-afternoon it had warmed to 22 deg. Bright sun and no wind, so I cleared the snow off a rock, laid a cushion down, set up my tripod and perched on that rock till the birds came back. Sony A77 with a Sony 70/400 zoom at 400. 1/250 F11 ISO 100. I used a tripod and a wireless remote shutter.
