This male House Finch was photographed in Mt. Vernon, Indiana on Feb. 3rd, 2014. The House Finch is identifiable by its rosy red coloring on its head, face and upper breast with brown streaks through its belly as well as on its back and tail. Photo equipment and details include; Canon 40D, EF 70-200mm f/4 L lens set for 135mm focal length and f/4.0 aperture, with ISO 800 and 1/500th shutter, the shot was taken with 1 stop of over-exposure.
