Hummingbirds zips here and there and its really hard to keep your camera focus on them because they are too active and won’t stay at one single place for long unless they are defending their territory. When you try to take a picture of a hummingbird, you hear zing zing all the time simply because of two things, one is your camera focus and other is the bird wings movement, they flutter their wings unlimited times in just one second. It was hard for me to focus on these hummingbirds who fulfil the air with their humming, constantly we see and hear them fly sometimes near by our ear, flying very narrow over our head. It is nearly impossible to follow them with the eyes. If you try anyway, becoming dizzy or even crazy is imminent.

So i decided the best place for me to wait for them near the flowers which proved to be a great opportunity for me. I saw this cute little Scintillant Hummingbird approaching close to the flowers, fluttering her pretty wings in the air. it took me a while to focus on her as they are too quick but as soon as i got the focus, i captured this cute little bird on my camera, the size of the bird in real is less then 5 inches, they are one of the most active and smallest birds. I didn’t use flash to photograph hummingbirds.

The species is found only in western Costa Rica and Panama.
