Plain Antvireo

I spent the past four months working for a field research project studying the reproductive biology of tropical resident birds in the Manu Biosphere Reserve, Peru (Manu Bird Project). I was responsible for monitoring the nest of this Plain Antvireo (Dysithamnus mentalis) pair for a week and took this picture as an adult was provisioning its two nestlings. Both nestlings would fledge successfully within the next several days.

I took the photo with the Canon EF-400L lens and Xsi body with tripod near San Pedro off the Manu Rd. in Peru.
