The Kalij Pheasant is mostly seen in the Himalayas and northeast India. This bird belongs to the peacock family mostly seen in pairs. The male is glossy blue, the female is reddish brown. The crest and the tail look beautiful. This bird is mostly seen in early mornings and late afternoon. A good flier, it rests on trees at night.
