On my recent trip to Assam, first time I did spot a bronze-color bird, which looked beautiful like it had a gold colored plating on it. This was a bronze-winged jacana. It is mainly a black bird with a striking bronze green tinge to upperparts and wings and a chestnut brown rump and tail. There is a striking white supercilium, a yellow bill, and a blue grey forehead. The female is larger then the male. Young ones have brown upperparts.
