It’s been a blast watching the early arriving warblers make their way back. Here is one of my first Yellow-rumped encounters of the spring. Although I often frame them in subtle-toned earthy backgrounds, this one presented itself under some early morning clear sky. What drew me towards him was the weathered snag he was foraging on. The way his yellow tones complimented the soft blues of the morning sky was a nice little bonus.
