While photographing the Hepatic Tanager in Madera Canyon this week, this Sapsucker appeared and I shot a couple of frames off quickly assuming it was the much more common Red-naped Sapsucker. In fact, the Yellow-bellied Sapsucker is quite reportable in AZ and I was happy to get a photo that could confirm his presence.
