Whooping and Sandhill Cranes

One of only two cranes found in North America, Whooping Crane is an endangered species named for its whooping sound. Photo taken at Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge on 11-24-15. The Whooping Crane count is at four and can be seen in this photo taken from a distance across the water along with the Sandhill Cranes at the refuge.
