This was taken in one of our local parks. I have been checking this area often. Each time I sit and watch for a while I always see an adult Sora. I had been hoping they were nesting in this area. I only have a small gap in the cattails to look through. On Sunday I was thrilled beyond thrilled to see a little face peeking through the cattails. Gradually two very young Soras came out. They would come out a little ways and then go back in. Each time they came out further. The adult Sora walked by but seemed to pay little attention to me or the babies.
