A young Peregrine Falcon named Layton at the Etobicoke Sun Life building in Toronto. The day this photo was taken was the day Layton took her first flight off the nest ledge some 20+ stories above the street. She ended up near the building entrance as photo’d here and shortly after on the ground, actually on the main street, and she was rescued by Falcon Fledge Watchers, and returned to the nest ledge after dark. She never returned to the ground after this and we enjoyed watching her grow over the summer months until she left home on fall migration. Good luck Layton!
