I shot this in Central PA farm country from the car on 02/17/2015. While out looking for Snow Buntings and Lapland Longspurs, I drove past a snow bank with several Horned Larks very close to the road. I carefully and slowly backed the car up until I was even with one of the birds. Miraculously, he stayed where he was till I took his picture!
