A pair of Harlequin drakes bank into a stiff wind at Andrews Point. Amazingly, these two were so close it appeared that they were touching wings during their acrobatic maneuvers. I photographed these birds using a Canon EOS 7D, a 300 mm F/2.8 L IS lens, and a 1.4x tele-extender, handheld under mostly sunny skies.
