A blue heron was looking to cool off on a very hot day last week. I saw him land, walk down a hill towards the pond, and he disappeared from my view. As I approached the pond I could hardly see him as he blended in with the pickerel rush blooms that were growing in the pond. It was an amazing sight to behold and I love how the photo turned out.
