Currently my favorite moment in bird photography. To have the privilege and honor of photographing this juvenile California Condor is beyond words!
I hiked to an elevation of approximately 1,400 feet at Pinnacles National Park in California just to get the opportunity to photograph this amazing bird. It was one thing to photograph this juvenile condor but a completely different experience to hear the adult condors approach from behind me and perhaps only 10 to 15 feet directly overhead as they passed by me. They sounded like small aircraft!
