Location: Audubon Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, near Bonita Springs, FL
Black-and-white Warblers commonly creep up and down branches, much like a nuthatch. This image shows a male. In contrast to females, which tend to be less distinctly marked and have a white throat, this male has the characteristic dark ear patch. (The dark throat is barely visible below the bill.)
