On a recent visit to Plum Island, I was setup to photograph migrating spring songbirds near the Maintenance Area of the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge (Newbury, MA). During the course of the morning, I saw several warblers including this beautiful Black-and-white Warbler that momentarily perched itself on a slanted limb. Its black and white pattern really set it apart from the vibrant green background vegetation. I photographed this bird using a Canon EOS 7D and a 300 mm F/2.8 L IS lens under bright overcast skies.
