Fledgling Barred Owl in its environment photographed in upstate, New York. July 2013. During the summers of 2012 and 2013 we were lucky to have a Barred Owl family living in our local forest. The fledglings and mother owl allowed us very close to observe and photograph as they preened, played, hunted and slept. Captured with a Canon 7D using a 100-400mm lens at 100mm.
