Rarity for this time of year in Saskatchewan. These birds are common in the summer but only occasionally do we find them here in the winter. We found this bird on a Bird Count we were doing in the Pike Lake area which is about 50 km south of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. It was huddled under a feeding station for cattle. It was MINUS 25 degrees Celsius so neither the bird nor I were very warm. I took this shot with a Nikon D800 camera, a 300 mm lens + 1.4 TC, f6.3, 1/1000
