Patience pays off: I spent close to 40 minutes watching this guy fly from tree to tree landing either too high and shrouded by leaves or in a spot where the sun was in front of me. I kept shooting – yea I knew the shots I was getting weren’t going to be good but at the very least I was getting some practice in. I was going to give up after 20 minutes but decided to stay with it. Another 20 minutes later he landed in the exact right spot and I was ready for him. Total shots taken – 190 but I got the one I wanted! Indigo bunting: ISO100 1/1000 f/6.3
