Photo taken in my backyard (which has an overflow pumping station pond) in Morrisville, Wake County, North Carolina. Taken on 11/26/15.
I was watching the Great Blue Heron stalking in our backyard “pond” when I saw him grab something in the water and proudly walk out into the bush surrounding the water. I sneaked out of the house and took the picture with my Canon G3X at 600mm (full) zoom. I didn’t realize it was a frog until I downloaded the photo!
