I first saw a picture of a cedar waxwing in my birds of North America field guide book, I am fairly new to birding. When I came across it I knew I had to see one in the wild at some point! Lo and behold while walking with my two daughters by the canal, a bird flew over us and I just knew it had to be a cedar waxwing! Sure enough it was and my day was made! Gorgeous!
