This little chickadee has been hanging around my feeders. I first captured it on November 27th. Chickadees normally go for the sunflower seeds which they break open by pounding on them with their sharp pointed beaks. I don’t believe this little one can do that. It does seem to enjoy the suet which it can eat quite easily. The other difference between this one and the others that come around is that this one in NOT skittish at all. I get about 12 feet away and it’s fine with me being there. Hopefully the suet I put out can keep it alive and well.
