In her new book, Birds of the West: An Artist’s Guide, Molly Hashimoto shares more than 120 different images of birds from western habitats.
From backyard favorites such as robins and chickadees to alpine-dwelling Great Gray Owl and Mountain Bluebird, the award-winning artist features nearly 100 species in her book, which was published by Mountaineers Books. In her art, Hashimoto uses different media, from quick sketches with pen and ink to carefully planned and vivid block prints to reveal different qualities of birds.
