Taking photos of wild birds is always a thrill. But creating photos of birds in flight is often more satisfying given their unpredictable, fast-moving behaviors. If you have great images of flying birds, enter them in our new Birds in Flight photo contest! We’re accepting entries through June 24.

The top three winners will take home cash prizes as well as camera backpacks and cases from Gura Gear, plus Nikon binoculars and a tabletop tripod from Oben. And the first-place winner will receive a Sony Alpha a6400 mirrorless digital camera and a 55-210mm lens.

In our recent contests in the last few years, photographers have submitted stunning images of birds from all over the world. Below are links to some of our past winners, and here are the official rules for the Birds in Flight contest.

Enter today! We can’t wait to see your images!

2020 Bird Portrait Contest winner: Cedar Waxwing

2020 Color of Birds Contest winner: Orange-breasted Bunting

2020 BirdWatching Photography Awards winner: White-tailed Kites
