2022 Birds in Flight contest finalists

Last year, we held our second photo contest focused on images of flying birds. More than 330 images were entered in our 2022 Birds in Flight Contest — images of raptors, owls, hummingbirds, ducks, songbirds, and others on the wing — from hundreds of photographers. A big thank you to everyone who entered!

Today, we’re thrilled to share the finalists. They include photos showing incredible detail in raptors, shorebirds, songbirds, owls, and hummingbirds. The descriptions of the images come from the photographers.
