2020 BirdWatching Photography Awards finalists

Drumroll, please! After receiving more than 1,230 entries to our 2020 BirdWatching Photography Awards Contest, we are ready to announce the finalists (below) and the honorable mention images. Next week, we’ll reveal the three winners.

Location and date: Isurui Ito Tancho Crane Sanctuary, Kushiro, Japan, February 26, 2016.

Description: I took this image while visiting the Red-crowned Crane sanctuary on Hokkaido, Japan. I concentrated on the top of the crane's head while it was grooming itself and was surprised that it doesn't have feathers on the crown.
