A Splash of Gold

I spent a week in Ecuador earlier this year to photograph the humming birds. But this also gave me an opportunity to observe and photograph many new neotropical birds in the areas I visited. This Golden Tanager was seen at a birdwatchers park in the Mindo area. This man-made water feature attracted many birds. The flowering plants in the background were a nice touch for this bright yellow bird.
