South Carolina's Francis Beidler Forest Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary is the spring and summer home of prothonotary warblers. Every April, these birds are seen courting, mating, and nesting in these swampy wetlands. Early one morning I spotted this one singing and flitting from tree to tree while I sat quietly waiting. While I watched it in the viewfinder, it snatched this caddisfly. Bug for breakfast.
