Image Description
This photo was captured on the ocean side of the sand spit that separates the Pacific from Morro Bay. I was mesmerized by their flight for more than an hour and being mostly a landscape photographer began experimenting with panning and waiting for the birds to glide with wings open and backlit. This was my favorite image of several hundred.
