Back Off

This Black Oystercatcher was protecting his turf. I was able to capture an almost dead on shot with the red beak against a dark background to show off the color. They like to stay on the rocks of the ocean coast which means in some cases you have to wait until the tide comes down to get a good shot. This is what I did and you can see the mollusks exposed by the low tide.
