Image Description
This is a picture of two Whooping Cranes flying above the Aransas Wildlife Refuge in Austwell, Texas, a really small town but the closest one to the Aransas Wildlife Refuge. We believe they were new arrivals flying over looking for a landing site not taken by other cranes. The Whooping Crane is territorial even to its own young after two years on the family area. After that the young are driven off to find their own territory.
