Water Droplets

I was in Orr, MN having lunch and heard the call of the Common Loon. I quickly set up on a nearby wobbly dock and waited quietly, watching the loon dive, and hoping the bird would come closer if I stayed still. When the loon bobbed up again after the dive, I was able to capture the water droplets still on its head, as well as the red eye and green band characteristic of its breeding plumage. The loon's head looked iridescent in the light.
