Juvenile Red-tailed Hawk

A juvenile red-tailed hawk warms in the morning sun over the Colusa NWR. The shorebirds and waterfowl that winter in the area make it a haven for raptors during the winter. I was fortunate enough to spend 3 days in late January photographing the birds in the Colusa NWR.
