Luminous

While spending 5 months in Salmon, Idaho last summer, I could usually count on finding Osprey to photograph. They are beautiful big birds and masterful at fishing. This particular Osprey was nesting close-by and looking for an evening meal for its chicks. When I clicked the shutter, the low sunlight illuminating the bird's spread tail feathers was magical. I also loved the clarity of the I.D. banding on its legs.
