The photo was taken at the Ritch Grissom Memorial Wetlands. I had been watching these two herons building their nest for several days. On this grey, overcast day the two herons were standing in their nest and just happened to cross their heads seemingly looking each other in the eyes. I could feel their anticipation that their chicks would hatch soon.
