Hawai’i Island Festival of Birds – Ha’akula Manu

September 24, 2016 - September 25, 2016

The first annual Hawai’i Island Festival of Birds – Ha’akula Manu will take place on September 24-25, 2016. General admission is unlimited, but some activities will require preregistration as seats are limited, so download the festival details now and get your tickets early!

The Festival marks the grand opening of the 90-mile Hawai’i Island Coast to Coast Birding Trail. This trail is a first for the state and will traverse the island’s many habitats from desert to rain forest with opportunities to see an incredible diversity of birds along the way. The Festival includes a chance to get a sneak peek at the trail by van with experienced bird guides. Brian Sullivan, the project leader for ebird.org will be joining us at the Festival to demonstrate how this unique website works. Those who join one of the van tours will have the chance to contribute to ebird at the Pau Hana dinner on Sunday evening.
