Brittany Woiderski is a biologist with the Bird Conservancy of the Rockies. She leads the field effort in the Southern Great Plains for the second largest breeding bird monitoring program in North America.
This refuge southwest of Oklahoma City has one of the largest breeding populations of Black-capped Vireo, and it provides habitat for Chuck-will’s-widow, meadowlarks, bluebirds, wrens, and many other species.
