This Cuban Tody is endemic to Cuba and is a very small bird at 4.5 inches. It is a very curious and colorful little bird that followed us around perching often just above us to see what we were up to. The photo was taken on Cayo Coco, Cuba on March 29, 2014 with a Nikon D7000 and a Nikon 80-400mm lens at 400mm. The bird nests in Cayo Coco in burrows excavated in the sand.
