In February 2008 I was driving in the North Bay, California along Highway 101 when I decided to take a detour to see if I could find any hawks perched on the post along Rush Creek in Novato, California. You are viewing a picture I was lucky to capture that day. I used my vehicle as a blind so not to spook the Kite while it was eating and drove up to it very slow. I was lucky that the people driving the side road (about three cars) were aware of what I was doing and stopped so they would not disturb the bird.
