A Whiskered Screech-Owl from the Mount Lemmon area in Tucson, Arizona.
These birds start calling in this area after dark. With patience and persistence following their sound, you can locate them. Once found, they’re quite tame and do not seem bothered at all by your presence. They will fly from perch to perch and hunt. Early on they call what seems to be continuously for the first couple of hours after dark.
This individual once located, I used a small flashlight on the the bird to get my AF to lock allowing me to capture some images.
Hope you like it!
