After being given a heads-up on the location of this Snowy Owl, I headed out on 1/25/14 to see if I could capture a picture. It was a typical sunny Minnesota winter day: 6 degrees F and a -12 degree wind chill welcomed me on an open wind-blown field. I was able to hike in within 60 yds of the owl and captured this photo. Nikon 3100, 180mm,ISO 800, 1/2500, F9, and some cropping. Photo taken in Maple Grove, Minnesota.
