Caught this juvenile Red-tailed Hawk with his nictitating membrane closed. Interesting to see the blood vessels in the lid. Stanford University, Stanford, CA. Canon 5d mark iii, 70/200 f2.8 with 2x extender, 400mm, ISO 160, 1/320. Cropped about 25x.
