This pair of Red-necked Grebes was photographed in one of the local ponds near the town of Nome in Alaska this past spring. It seemed almost every pond or lake had a pair seeking nesting rights. For this shot we were in waist-high water as the pair cruised by calling back and forth. Here I was fortunate to capture them both calling at the same time!
