Desert Botanical Gardens, Phoenix, AZ. Mar. 18, 2014. Beautiful weather, clear and in the low 80′s. A lot of the flowers were in bloom and more to start within the next 2 weeks. The Saguaro cactus will be blooming soon also. Maybe by the first part of April. Sony A77V with a Sony 70/400 zoom at 400, handheld. 1/800 F8 ISO 400. One of the best places for pictures is the outdoor café. Make sure you sit at an outside edge table closest to the desert. You will see Curve-billed Thrashers, Albert’s Towhee, Cactus Wren, Gambel’s Quail, Northern Flicker, Verdin, European Starling, Hummingbirds, Roadrunners and various ground squirrels and chipmunks.
