Desert Botanical Gardens, Phoenix, AZ. Mar. 18, 2014. Beautiful weather, clear and in the low 80’s. A lot of the flowers were in bloom and more to start within the next 2 weeks. The Saguaro cactus will be blooming soon also. Maybe by the first part of April. Sony A77V with a Sony 70/400 zoom at 400, handheld. 1/800 F8 ISO 400. One of the best places for pictures is the outdoor cafĂ©. Make sure you sit at an outside edge table closest to the desert. You will see Curve-billed Thrashers, Albert’s Towhee, Cactus Wren, Gambel’s Quail, Northern Flicker, Verdin, European Starling, Hummingbirds, Roadrunners and various ground squirrels and chipmunks.
