While hiking out at the Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge, I spotted this Cardinal in the swampy area perched on a branch. I very quickly and quietly positioned my camera between two tree trunks and was able to get several shots before she sensed my presence and flew away. This has always been one of the hardest birds for me to get a good shot of so I was very pleased to get this photo.
