Glaucous-winged Gulls are common along the west coast of North America. The wings are much paler compared to those of the more abundant Western Gulls, which have dark grey wings. This friendly gull was perched on an overlook along Highway 101 near Heceta Head, Oregon in September 2-13. Photo taken with a Canon Powershot G12.
